Reinaldo resembles his work- structured and fluid-direct and limpid. He occupies a space which resembles him-luminous and square, strict and soft. His boutique at the hear of" le Marais" is made of rigorous simplicity, almost severe where all manierism is absent. But as soon as the word "classicism" comes to mind, a detail in a blink of an eye denies it. This is called humor.

When one tells him about this year's fashion, he smiles. " Yes, it's nice these little arachnid nothings done with " 3 fois rien ". This reminds him Porto Rico and the couture atelier of his maternal grand mother where, as a little boy, he was picking the cuttings of " tulle " which were spread all over the floor. This " tulle ", he was intuitively playing with, in strangling it like a belt with little satin pieces. Because mother used them to compose bouquets of flowers, this was her métier.

Today, he simply says that he prefers to offer to women something else other than just a breath of mousseline superimposed on a dress...

Because the man is constructed, this is undeniable. As to his itinerary: when he was seventeen, he dreamt of New York. He went there to follow the courses of Parsons and F.I.T. Then he had to work and to live. There, he worked and enjoyed having to learn. He entered Oscar de la Renta "Accessories Street". He learned a lot there - everything or almost . But New York was too big or too small!

So he left for Saint Thomas, in the Virgin islands, to dress beautiful creole friends who were showing for him. In New York, black and white were his favourite colours. In Saint Thomas, he added red; boleros (already), afternoon dresses, cocktail outfits, shown on the very slim forms of the free beauties of the islands.

However guess what ? He started dreaming of Paris "Ah oui !" Paris, of course, this indefinable spirit, this " je ne sais quoi ".

He had to do it…

So,he did.

In1994, he opened his own Boutique in Le Marais. With success. Since.

In 2002, he launches his own perfume "eau de noces" and opens a second shop in a heart of Paris, close to "Pont-Neuf" !
